For the third year, the Village Inn Event Center in Clemmons played host to the Jada Paul Prom Dress Giveaway. This annual event included a fashion show (with models from Winston-Salem State University), makeup demonstrations, a continental breakfast, as well as door prizes and giveaways.
Jada organizes this event every year with the help and support of her mother, Jackie Crawley, mother-in-law, Robin Paul, and sister-in-law, Desiree Paul. Talitha Vickers of WXII serves as the mistress of ceremonies.
Talitha shares, “The Prom Dress Giveaway hosted by Jada Paul is nothing short of magical!”
The event offers girls an opportunity to choose custom dresses, shoes, and accessories. “When the girls walk in, they have no idea what to expect and are sometimes a little shy and astounded that everything set before them is just for them,” said Talitha. “By the time the event is over, it’s like they have stepped right out of a fairytale and into a reality where they, too, are beautiful, bold, fearless and ready to rock.”
The event ends with tears of joy and grateful hearts from those who needed just a little help to make the experience of prom a reality.
The event was open to you women who attend Forsyth County high schools and who are involved in various community organizations.
The Jada Paul Prom Dress Giveaway is sponsored by Windsor Fashions, English’s Bridal & Formal Wear, Chinese Laundry, and A by Amaris Beauty Services.
