We have a new year and a whole year of restaurants before us! Before we officially kick of the 2020 Dining Guide, we wanted to offer a recap of all the restaurants we shared in 2019!
Mac & Nelli’s

The Bistro at Wine Merchants
Tucked into The Towers Shopping Center, across from Thruway, is a hidden gem in Winston-Salem. A charming little restaurant-oasis and wine shop combined: Wine Merchants and Vin 205 Bistro. Located at 205 S. Stratford Road, Wine Merchants is centrally located to most anywhere in Forsyth County. From appetizers to salads and soups, entrees, and weekend brunch—there’s something for everyone at Vin 205 Bistro. Much of the menu is scratch-made in house, including a dessert menu that simply cannot be beat!
Healthy Made Simple
Ready-made meals that are properly portioned? Yes, please! Many recipes are gluten free and all are made with the freshest ingredients and are scratch-made each week. When you consider the time it takes to shop, plan, prep, store and cook the meals, plus the cost of the food, the price is incredible. When you buy ingredients, they come in all sizes and amounts. These have to be stored and, when they get out of date, thrown away. With Healthy Made Simple meals, everything is in the dish or container-prepared and ready to heat and eat.
Pie Guys Pizza and More
Pie Guys Pizza is located at 3425 Kinnamon Village Commons in Clemmons. They believe the best pizza starts with great ingredients. They make their dough from scratch every day, and it’s aged 24 hours to have the best flavor. Additionally, they make their own sauces, and when it comes to choosing vendors for ingredients—they have chosen the best. Their cheese and meat vendors have a long history in making fine, Italian ingredients and they use old-world traditions for authentic Italian taste.
Midtown Cafe & Dessertery
Midtown Cafe & Dessertery is centrally and conveniently located at 151 South Stratford Road in Winston-Salem. They have been a community favorite for over 30 years, for good reason—it’s awesome, and there’s something for everyone. The whole family loves the eclectic menu options that appeal to every appetite. With nightly specials and ongoing, seasonal menu updates, it’s little wonder that Midtown Cafe & Dessertery has become known as a “Neighborhood Dinner Destination.”
