8:30-10:30am, locations vary. As proud participants in the “We Honor Veterans” program, Hospice & Palliative CareCenter and Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care are pleased to present the 2018 schedule for Veterans Coffee. Veterans of all ages and military service are welcome, both male and female. Enjoy coffee, doughnuts and conversation! Most coffees will include an information presentation by organizations who provide services to veterans. Kaleideum North, 400 West Hanes Mill Road in W-S. Decorate a snowman, collect snowballs, go ice-fishing and slide, slide, slide on the sock-skating rink! Included with museum admission.

Kaleideum Downtown, 390 South Liberty Street in W-S. Take a trip back in time back to when there were no cell phones or video games, and batteries were never included! Engage and delight in tumbling, sliding, rocking, spinning, dancing and flying folk toys that demonstrate the effects of gravity, inertia, rhythm, harmonic motion and mechanics. Included with museum admission.

Betty & Jim Holmes Food Bank Garden, 1001 Reynolda Road in W-S. The Betty and Jim Holmes Food Bank Garden needs volunteers to help in the harvest of vegetables as they become ripe over the summer months. All garden produce is donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC. Harvest days will be every Monday and Wednesday beginning at 5:30pm and Saturday beginning at 9am.

4-7pm, Remedy Apothecary, 4725 Yadkinville Road in Pfafftown. Come together for fresh and locally grown food, fun and music! Support the efforts of your local farmers and food producers!
