Owner Jonathan Chung is a perfectionist and knew the recipe for success was quality and options! “We wanted to offer Asian food (Chinese, Thai, Sushi, Korean) with good quality and flavors,” said Chung. “All of our dishes are made to order, and I think our customers can taste the freshness; that’s why they come back. We offer our dishes for reasonable prices and are generous with our portions. We also understand that to have a sustainable business you have to offer value to customers. If there is no value in purchasing something, then what’s the point? We are working hard to satisfy our customers as best as we can.”
In addition to offering the highest quality of food, HakkaChow’s family atmosphere allows it to offer the highest in service. “My mom, Caroline Chung, is part-owner of HakkaChow and checks, for the most part, on every single table to make sure everything is to our customers’ satisfaction,” said Chung. “And, a lot of our customers appreciate this. In a number of online reviews, my mom is mentioned because they like the owner checking on them. HakkaChow is not just a typical restaurant that customers dine in and leave. We create a memorable dining experience for customers that makes them come back just because of it.”
But service only goes so far—the food has to satisfy as well! “We change our menu once or twice a year by adding more new items to it and, sometimes, also taking off items,” said Chung. “Since our opening, we have added sushi and some Korean dishes to our menu. We will have a full sushi bar soon. We are planning to start construction soon, and we hope to have it done as soon as possible. We are then going to feature a full sushi menu, with even more variety of fish and sushi rolls. We are also adding a happy hour on appetizers that is only available at the bar at certain times, Monday through Thursday. We try to reward the hardworking people that are coming off from work with our popular appetizers, like Crab Wontons and Spring Rolls.”
Jonathan routinely looks to improve HakkaChow to keep his customers happy, since he knows the success is possible because of their business up to now, and he is not shy about it! “Thank you for supporting us!
