Tis the season for flowers, cards, jewelry and chocolate. Yes, it’s the month of Valentine’s Day my friends. How will you show those you love you care? If you’re fresh out of “out of the box” ideas, the items mentioned above may be cliché but in the end, who doesn’t love them? Just remember, it doesn’t have to be expensive to be meaningful.
I can never think of Valentine’s without thinking of my sweet mother-in-law, Delphia. You see, her birthday was on Valentine’s Day. And for anyone lucky enough to know her, there couldn’t have been a more fitting day for her birthday. She was the epitome of sweetness and love, and my life was so much richer for having her in it. We lost this sweet lady a little over a year ago, but her legacy lives on with her family and especially her three granddaughters.
The February cover features the dynamic doctor duo of Mike and Leigh Summer of Summer Family Care in Lewisville. Their commitment to each other and their patients is evident the moment you meet them. They along with their two children are very involved with the Farm at the Children’s Home. If you’re looking for a new doctor and an independent medical practice interests you, look no further! We continue our prom issue from February into March and have some great content to help your teen make their prom experience one to remember! The Triad Home & Garden show is featured and should spark ideas on spring home improvements and landscape projects. Be on the look out for our March through May issues. They will feature our upcoming Summer Camp Guide and will help you plan the ultimate summer for your children.
Many thanks to Photo Artistry by Melinda as she gave me a priceless gift of family photos before I began my chemo treatments. Most of all, thanks to my family for being the most amazing family ever and being willing to go out on a very chilly day so she could take the photos. Taking photos doesn’t usually rate high on the list of fun things to do for most folks, but the results are always cherished!
