Luck of the Irish to you! Happy St. Patty’s Day everyone! How is it already March? 2020 is off at warp speed! Speaking of warp speed, while it may not have felt like it at the time, Salem Parkway (aka business 40) was finished in record time. I attended the re-opening party held at the WS Dash stadium and it was fun to get to walk on the fresh pavement the day before it re-opened. Kudos to the workers and city officials for a job well done! They did a beautiful job with the new bridges and on/off ramp improvements.
Our March cover features Gastroenterology Associates of the Piedmont, P.A.—GAP for short. They are the presenting sponsor of the “Get your Rear in Gear” race. March is colorectal cancer awareness month and the annual race is set for March 28 at the beautiful Quarry Park in Winston-Salem. They challenge you to sign up today! My dear granny passed away from colon cancer, so prevention is near and dear to my heart. If you’re over the age of 50 and haven’t had your colonoscopy, I urge you to schedule it today!
The March issue features the final installment of our annual Prom section and the first installment of our Summer Camp Showcase. For anyone with a child going to prom or needing to schedule camps for the summer, be sure to check these sections out!
Congratulations to my daughter Morgan on passing her board exams! We now have an official licensed Occupational Therapist in our family and are so very excited for the career path before her. Praying for the perfect opportunity to utilize her gift and skills of helping and caring for people to present itself soon! Way to go Morgan, couldn’t be prouder of you!
