The Crisp Hospitality Group has taken local dining to a new level through Fratelli’s Italian Steakhouse off Reynolda Road and Sammy G’s in High Point. And now, owners Sammy Gianopoulos, Johnny Pappas, and Pete Bobatrious are adding to their lineup a new Clemmons-based restaurant called Three Bulls American Steakhouse. The three bulls are symbolic of the three owners and their bull-like determination to combine high-quality dining with exceptional hospitality and amazing food.
Three Bulls American Steakhouse is a cut above the competition when it comes to ambiance, quality, and service. Located at 1480 River Ridge Drive in Clemmons, Three Bulls promises to be a valued addition to the Triad. With its convenient location, just minutes from the heart of Winston-Salem, Three Bulls American Steakhouse is right off 421, in the River Ridge Shopping Center.
Hospitality and Ambiance
Formerly a sports bar, the restaurant has undergone significant remodeling as it’s been transformed into the Three Bulls American Restaurant. A large, antique bull which stands sentinel over the front doors greets guests. The interior gives a modern, sophisticated, and industrial twist on traditional Americana décor. The soft grey palate is relaxing and inviting.
The hostess stand is set apart with a lovely, wrought iron gate and the open fireplace in the back, as well as soft lighting and comfortable seating. Co-managers Eric Van Orden and Jordan Keiper both emphasized the importance of a warm and hospitable atmosphere. “This is a perfect place to enjoy either date night or a dinner out with family and friends,” assured Eric.
But at the heart of it all is hospitality. “We want to establish a level of service in hospitality that is unmatched and sets our restaurants apart from others,” said Eric. “Service is the technical delivery of a product. Hospitality is how the person feels about the delivery of the product. Hospitality is almost impossible to teach. It’s all about hiring the right people.”
While the team at Three Bulls American Steakhouse has spent months planning menus and decorating, a primary objective has been to focus on recruiting high-caliber talent who will reflect the hospitality mission.
As an extension of the team’s commitment to excellence, the meats served are smoked in-house. Whether smoked with cedar, hickory, applewood, or other woods—the meats served at Three Bulls American Steakhouse are handled with care and precision for the best flavor possible.
All cuts are aged and hand-trimmed to the chef’s specifications. Also – each cut is cooked “Pittsburg style,” at temperatures as high as 1800°!
Owner Sammy Gianopoulos has worked with Chef Jamie Cline to create a menu to cater to any appetite. From appetizers to salads to entrees—the menu features a diverse selection. While the restaurant is, first and foremost, a steakhouse, the menu also includes seafood options, as well as salads, soups, sandwiches, chicken, pork, and a great selection of side dishes.
The Butcher’s Block section of the menu offers all the favorite cuts, including filet mignon, New York strip, ribeye, cowboy bone-in ribeye, center-cut sirloin, T-bone, and chopped steak! Steak lovers have a variety of steak toppings to choose from, too, including blue cheese, sherry mushrooms and caramelized onions—even shrimp, crab cakes, ribs, or chicken!
The bar has been carefully created to complement the menu. Eric explained, “Three Bulls American Steakhouse is unique to the area for offering in-house aged whiskey. We will offer over 30 whiskey and bourbon options.”
Jordan chimed in, “By aging the whiskey in smaller barrels, we can produce the desired flavor more quickly. It’s a matter of producing high-end quality over quantity. We will have three tiers—low-, mid-, and high-end—for our guests to enjoy.”
Additionally, the bar will feature many local wines and has a special partnership with Shelton Vineyards. Three Bulls American Steakhouse will include 24 taps, with 12 reserved for traditional favorites, and the other 12 for local and regional craft beers that will be available on rotation.
Eric said, “We also plan to offer unique cocktails, with our goal [being] to serve drinks to the table within two minutes of ordering.”
