Happy Fall, y’all! September through November is considered fall, and it’s one of my favorite seasons! Bring on football, pumpkin spice everything and cooler weather!
Since our last issue, my family checked off an amazing bucket list vacation. Driving from San Francisco down the Pacific Coast Highway to Los Angeles. My heart is so full from all the wonderful memories we made! Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, cable cars, the Painted Ladies, Ghirardelli Square, Napa Valley, Muirwoods with the giant redwoods, the Charles Schulz Museum, Baseball (the A’s & the Giants who has the most beautiful ballpark I’ve ever seen), joining in Fiesta in Santa Cruz, Monterey, Big Sur, Santa Monica Pier, stars on the Walk of Fame, the Hollywood sign and Warner Brothers Studio tour were the highlights of the trip!
Speaking of tours, I always love to do a city tour when I visit a new place. It may be cheesy and definitely very cliché, but I always learn so much and it’s a great way to see a lot in a short amount of time. We only had a day and a half in LA, and of all the tours we could have picked. Choosing the two-hour or seven-hour tour and of all the buses that left that morning. What are the odds that more than 2k miles away from home, you’d end up on the same tour bus with another family from your hometown? I should have played the lottery that day! We had the pleasure of meeting the adorable Church family from Clemmons who just happened to be visiting California as well!
The September cover features Woodard & Company Asset Management Group. No better time than the present to take control of your financial future. Give them a call today to get started! As usual this time of year, there is no lack of activities going on in our community, so be sure to note all the event happenings. Our attempt at reviving our Kids’ Morning Out event in July fell flat, but we’re back and ready to have fun at one of our favorite KMO locations. Mark your calendar for Monday, September 13th from 10-11:30am at Salem Gymnastics & Swim. We can’t wait to see your smiling faces!
