Valentine’s Day at HakkaChow

Perhaps one of the most popular nights of the year for a nice dinner is February 14th, better known as Valentine’s Day. We make reservations far in advance, get a babysitter lined up, buy a new outfit and look forward to that night out with your favorite person! HakkaChow has everything you need for the perfect dinner on this fun holiday…but make sure you plan ahead and make your reservations early!

Many restaurants offer a special menu for Valentine’s Day, and HakkaChow is no different! The difference comes in the quality of the food available on that special menu—no mass-produced fare that can be cranked out of the kitchen in record time—just fresh, quality items that are their most popular dishes of the year.

“There will be a set menu for two, featuring our most popular dishes, including appetizers, sushi, entrée and a homemade dessert,” said Owner Jonathan Chung. “We will also offer drink specials.”

Because HakkaChow is always a destination for people in the area, reservations are extra important. Even during the rest of the year, “…it is always recommended to make a reservation at least two weeks ahead, especially when there is a specific time desired,” said Chung.

There are many Asian restaurants in the Triad area, but few offer truly authentic cuisine. “We believe that we are the only local restaurant that offers great Asian food (see our reviews on Yelp, Trip Advisor, Open Table and Google), including sushi in a modern and contemporary setting offering a full and diverse wine list and cocktail selection,” said Chung. “I think we can easily compete with other nice Asian restaurants in metropolitan cities. We have very fun wines and cocktails like the Spicy Mango Margarita and the Pomegranate Sake Cosmopolitan as well as a good domestic and imported sake and tea selection including Tropical Green Revolution Tea and Golden Chamomile Herbal Revolution Tea.”

HakkaChow has plans to add in a sushi bar, so be on the lookout for that! Some of their unique, delicious creations are the Surf and Turf Roll, which is an inside-out roll filled with kani, asparagus and cucumber that is topped with premium tuna, yellow tail and Korean BBQ beef and drizzled with Korean hot sauce, eel sauce and spicy aioli; and the Dancing Eel Roll which is an inside-out roll filled with tuna, lobster salad, cream cheese, crab stick and cucumber that is topped with baked marinated spicy eel, scallions, sesame seeds and eel sauce.

Don’t wait too long to make your Valentine’s Day reservations at HakkaChow because reservations are likely to fill up! HakkaChow is open from 11:30 am9:30 pm on Valentine’s Day.
